If you’re looking for an old school atmosphere for a cheap brunch head to City Diner in Metairie! I’m a breakfast person but hubs isn’t. This means I don’t get my brunch fix nearly often enough! Luckily I was able to find some good company to join me to try out what has been called “the most outrageous pancakes.”
Last night we ventured out for a dinner date off the beaten path at Frenier Landing. I love that the cell phone service is sketchy there because it means an hour of uninterrupted conversation with hubs. Which was definitely much needed after a long week.
If you have been following along with our Instagram stories you know that my husband has been wanting power poles, desperately. Every time we take the boat out he spots other boats with 2 power poles and tells me “his wife loves him, he has 2 power poles.” Oh and if we see a poor guy with only 1 I’m told “his wife doesn’t love him, he only has one power pole.”
My mom knows I’m always looking for fun new fresh places to try out and share with y’all here. Saturday when I her one of the first things she told me about was a new pizza food truck that she had recently heard about called NOLAmia! As we were talking I looked them up and saw they were at a location less than 5 minutes from where we were and it was right at lunch time. I quickly grabbed my pawpaw and forced him to tag along as my date to try it out.
