If you have been following along with our Instagram stories you know that my husband has been wanting power poles, desperately. Every time we take the boat out he spots other boats with 2 power poles and tells me “his wife loves him, he has 2 power poles.” Oh and if we see a poor guy with only 1 I’m told “his wife doesn’t love him, he only has one power pole.”
Knowing full well I needed to up my gift giving game after the last 2 years (I still haven’t finished that gift and last years present was more for me than him that he has rentlessly made jokes about) I decided to get him power poles. I’m now done with birthday, Christmas, anniversary, whatever else I can tack on for the next year. I know the second wedding anniversary is supposed to be cotton, I’ll get a nice cotton towel for him to use while he drys off his power poles.
Installing the actual poles and brackets were super easy. Now the pumps are a whole other story. Goodness gracious that was a debacle that involved contorting into unimaginable positions to be able to tighten all the bolts and whatnot. Programming the power poles was well documented in the instructions and easy to follow.
Once the power poles were up and running hubs sat in the garage playing. It was nearly impossible to get him inside for dinner and bed. Early the next morning out we went to the water to test them out.
The saying is something along the lines of ‘happy hubs happy life’ so I guess all is well in our world. Not to mention I’m thrilled to be done with presents for the next year and he can’t make fun of my last 2 birthday gifts anymore!
XOXO
