Last night we ventured out for a dinner date off the beaten path at Frenier Landing. I love that the cell phone service is sketchy there because it means an hour of uninterrupted conversation with hubs. Which was definitely much needed after a long week.
I wouldn’t normally write a whole post about us going out to eat on a little date but there was a major revelation during dinner! We have a new #1 very best charbroiled oysters, the imperial oysters from Frenier Landing! These guys knocked it out of the ballpark! The imperial oysters were the special appetizer last night but it really should be on the main menu.
What is an imperial oyster? Charbroiled oysters, topped with crab (seemed more like a mini crab cake), covered with Alfredo sauce, and charbroiled a second time. OMG the chef is a freaking genius. Like Nobel prize level genius!!!! I always order charbroiled oysters extra done, I highly suggest you do the same, it is a game changer.
The main course was also great. I had fish tacos and hubs said his hush puppies were amazing!
I highly recommend taking a ride outside of the city to check out the delicious food, great view, and fun atmosphere at Frenier Landing.
Where do you love to go eat that is off the usual path?
XOXO
