Here in south Louisiana it gets pretty hot in the summer. Alright, pretty hot is putting it nicely. It’s reeeeaaally freaking hot. Like step outside at 6:30 in the morning and you will instantly start sweating walking to the car. We have been staying cool by staying relaxing out on the water.

Spring Surprises
Well it’s been a bit of a whirlwind around here with some unexpected spring surprises. A couple weekends ago hubs planned a weekend getaway to Biloxi with some buddies for a concert at the casino. On our way out of town we stopped in Mandeville for a double date brunch at Bistro Bryonz. Super nice atmosphere and food, but I wouldn’t recommend their frozen lemonade Tom Collins special drink. Before the concert we did dinner at the Half Shell Oyster House. I intended to take pictures of the delicious charbroiled oyster sampler platter but once it arrived all brain ways stopped and I stuffed my face, my bad. It was a super fun weekend, until it wasn’t (that’s a whole other story in itself). But hubs did better than he realized getting us an ocean view room at the Beau Rivage!
Spring has Sprung
This weekend officially felt like spring. My boys didn’t want to get out of the bed and had a stare down on who would budge first. The weather was so wonderful that it took me a while to get moving instead of swinging on the hammock. All of the spring decorations have started making an appearance around the house from the front door to the back. My favorite is definitely the new spring flower arraingment I made for the breakfast booth.
Mardi Gras & Valentines
Mardi Gras Prep
The greatest holiday is here, it is the big carnival weekend! Happy Mardi Gras! I love Mardi Gras because it marks the end of winter and the start for beautiful weather just around the corner. It doesn't hurt that it's treated as a high holiday with schools and businesses closing. In anticipation of my wonderfully fun 4 day weekend I decided to focus tonight and knock out some work so we can enjoy the rest of this weekends festivities!
Relationship Goals
We have decided to reach for some relationship goals in 2018. Our relationship goals are just what we want to work on for us and by no means are we trying to say that's what you should do. We aren't perfect and definitely are not the wisest professionals to be giving advice. Some of the things we consider as the most important relationship goals aren't on our 2018 todo list because we have already mastered it; i.e. sharing food.
