Hubs and I are both engineers and over-achievers. To everyone else on the planet we are just plain annoying with our constant need to be an over-achiever. (Well done guys setting us up.) Pretty often our date nights include discussions of new things we learned and saw lately even though it's techniqually work related. Yes, I know it's very romantic to discuss fixed versus adjustable torque tooling. Along these very romantic lines of work talk, we had a "How It's Made" marathon going the other night. We constantly discussed the points in the process they needed to improve tooling, fixturing, and documentation as well as recognized the jaw dropping amazing manufacturing moments. The most outstanding moment of our romantic night was this floor trolley system in the Final Assembly station for Bugatti.
I don't even know where to start I'm so all over the place with my thoughts on this. It looks amazing but it really doesn't look like all that complicated of a design. I need more information on this system and google has failed me as well as the 4 other curious weirdos that have created Reddit threads. There has to be someone out there who knows more about this trolley system. Who made this trolley system? What's the price tag? Weight capacity when it is flush with the floor? Weight capacity for trolley load? Practical things need to be shared. How do we go about cleaning and servicing this thing? Do you have trouble with non-Bugatti normal manufacturing factories issues like bolts and whatnot that have fallen on the ground clogging up this system?
Please someone from Bugatti call me! I have questions!
XOXO
The Mr. & Amanda
