Alright so y’all know I’m a sucker for a good themed party. When my sister planned a full themed Bachelorette weekend as the maid-of-honor and asked me to help setup and bring it to life my one condition was that she let me share the fruits of all her labor and precious ideas with y’all! Lucky for all of us she agreed!!! Drum roll please…. here we have all the details from the “Bride & Boujee + Bad & Boozie” Bachelorette weekend in New Orleans.
The first job I was given was to create a photobooth backdrop out of lights, like a lot of lights, a lot of heavy lights. Guys, hanging a wall of lights in a rented condo in a way that didn’t ruin the wall so we got our deposit back AND they stayed up all weekend proved to be an engineering feat! There were a few failed attempts but when I’m given a job, come hell or high water I’m going to figure it out! Thank goodness for massive amounts of three pound command strips. I personally think I eventually nailed it! Clearly you can tell I was pretty excited when it stayed longer than 30 minutes from all the pictures I demanded in front of it. I’m not going to lie, this is not for the faint of heart. Even knowing to go straight to using command strips it is going to take 2 people at least 2 hours to hang the lights, go early and bring wine.
Of course it isn’t a bachelorette weekend without decking out the bride and having plenty of silly props for the photobooth.
**Blowing up this many balloons and inflatables would have been completely impossible without the RYOBI 18-Volt ONE+ Dual Function Inflator/Deflator. It can handle the pressure you need for both small balloons and larger pool inflatables, comes with nozzles for each, and is battery operated. Clutch. It took 5 hours to move all the food for the weekend into the condo and decorate. I can only imagine how long it would have taken if we were trying to air everything up ourselves.
We did a couple other festive banners and balloons around the condo because if you’ve ever been around me or my sister you know if we are going to do anything we are going to do it big.
To keep the girls entertained when hanging out at the condo there was bra pong, drink if you miss.
Saturday we all wore our matching uniform shirts to roam the city and did a pole dancing class. Ohhhh my word! That was sooooo dang fun! I’m trying to talk hubs into putting a pole outside by our pool for some summer laughs but I need a mat under it so I don’t end up in the emergency room!
Sunday morning we had a lingerie shower brunch with the bride’s mom, aunts, and other close family friends joining us at the condo.
Really great weekend with a super fun theme that wasn’t cheesy or over worked. It was also nice that the decor worked all weekend even when we added the lingerie banners for the little shower. The girls had a good time playing with the photobooth and props when waiting on everyone to get ready to head out each evening making it a nice additive.
Huge thank you to my sister for letting me share it with y’all and hopefully it gives you some inspiration! If you use anything from it we would love to see how it turns out for you!!!
XOXO
