BLDG 5

A day off from work today called for a little adventure. I wanted to check out BLDG 5 a local market+kitchen+patio so I talked an old friend to go with me since we haven’t hung out in a while. I got there first and stationed up with a a pink lemonade and book in the corner. I would need a bottomless bucket of that pink lemonade perfection! We shopped in the market and got a couple goodies for the new house. Also grabbed dinner for later this week out of the take & bake section.

Can we pause and talk about the eclectic decor inspiration vibes coming from their dining area, patio, and rooftop deck?!? (Update: dining table below made by Benjamin Bullins and floor painting done by Baton Rouge artist TJ Black.)

Then we were indecisive about what to order so we tried a few things off the menu laughing and talking just enjoying their patio for nearly 2 hours. Is there anything better than somewhere that has such a great atmosphere that you’re comfortable enough to stay awhile AND the servers never give you that feeling like you’re taking up a table?! In hindsight, we may have over ordered with the chicken tortilla soup, crab cakes, beef stew, and broccoli because we were doing the full belly waddle when we finally left!

Really great start to the week with a good friend at a cool place!

All photos taken by my lunch buddy better known to all of you as Double Windsor Photography.
