Luck of the Irish

This year we are feeling especially lucky for our family. It’s been a crazy couple weeks but our family has been a very nice source of stability. Kim & Jamie (sister and her Mr.) planned to run a Tougher Mudder in town a while back. Of course I had to make signs to cheer them on!

They are now on a cross country road trip trek and worked New Orleans into the schedule as one of the early stops. I highly suggest following them on their journey and sharing your states highlight with them so they can work it into the itenary!

We had a house full with them and hubs Mom joining to cheer them on but it was exactly what I needed after being under the weather for a week+. They definitely provided the hugs and help for plenty of rest I needed to start getting back on track. They even managed to get me out of the house for a late lunch in the French Quarter. While getting dressed to head out for our late lunch I couldn’t help but smile as I figured out how to wear my trusty St. Patrick’s day clover pin because God works in a funny way to bring things full circle. 25+ years ago I was very sick in the hospital on St. Patrick’s day, my great grandmother and grandmother went down to the hospital gift shop to find me something green. The little bendy clover trinket pin always comes out of my jewelry box for an appearance on St. Patrick’s day regardless of where I am or how silly it is. This year the pin had extra special meaning with me being under the weather lately and then having both our families around helping get me back on track while spending time together.

XOXO
